Wine Tour - Wine Tour Bekaa! - Bekaa Valley

  • Lebanon holds a significant place in the history of wine production, dating back to ancient times when the Phoenicians played a pivotal role in its spread throughout the Mediterranean. Despite the region's numerous conflicts, Lebanon continues to produce approximately 600,000 cases of wine annually. In recent years, the wine sector has experienced remarkable growth, with the number of wineries increasing from 5 in 1998 to over 50 today.

    "The Bekaa Valley" beckons you to explore the heart of some of the world's most beautiful vineyards. Our wine tour will take us to Domaine des Tourelles, Château Nakad, and Château Heritage.

    We'll begin our tour with a visit to Domaine des Tourelles. This winery, founded by Francois-Eugène Brun in 1868, boasts a rich history and has been honored with numerous international awards. Exploring its yellow stone and cedar wood cellars will unveil the mysteries of this age-old family estate, where we'll have the privilege of tasting their various wine offerings.

    Next, we'll visit Nakad. Château Nakad's story is deeply rooted in family, spanning three generations of winemakers from the Bekaa Valley. Built upon ancient wine cellars dating back to the Bronze Age, this winery offers a glimpse into Lebanon's winemaking heritage. Led by Mr. Jalal Nakad, an expert in the field, we'll receive a quick tour of the winery and learn the proper techniques of wine tasting.

    Our final stop will be at Château Heritage, an exquisite winery owned by Mr. Dargham, former president of Qabb Elias and a close friend of Vamos Todos. Here, we'll not only indulge in wine tasting but also experience a cognac tasting directly from the cave. Prepare for your taste buds to be tantalized by the high-quality products straight from the winery.

    After this delightful exploration of prestigious wineries, it will be time for lunch at a charming local restaurant serving special Lebanese homemade cuisine. Lunch will be accompanied by refreshing soft drinks.

    WHAT TO GET: Light snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruits, water, cap, sunglasses and sunscreen. Wear comfortable shoes such as hiking shoes and always keep a windproof jacket in your backpack.

    SPECIAL RATES:
    - Children with the age of 10 and younger will have a discount of 5$.
    - Children/ Teenagers between the age of 11 and 18 will have a discount of 4$.
    - University students will have a discount of 3$ provided that they present their university card.
    - Groups with 5 to 9 persons, with different criteria than the above, will get a 2$ discount.
    - Groups with 10 or more persons, with different criteria than the above, will get a 3$ discount.

    PAYMENT TERMS:
    - Cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged half-price.
    - Reservations with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged an extra 2$.
    (e.g. Cancelling or booking for a Sunday’s event on Saturday will be subject to the above terms).

    ESSENTIAL ECOTOURISTIC RULES & REGULATIONS
    - Smoking is strictly prohibited during the event
    - Always follow the guide on the designated trail
    - Do not go off road without notifying the guide
    - Do not get close to a cliff especially when the guide in charge tells you not to do so
    - Although accidents are covered by the insurance but they remain under the responsibility of the member
    - Sometimes, due to reasons beyond our control, slight modifications to the program may occur. Ecotourism rules must be followed, otherwise personal accidents will not be accounted for by the insurance.
